The Juniata Valley Striders are excited to announce the following 2022 JVS Scholarship winners:

Congratulations to this year’s JVS Scholarship winners. 

Mifflin County High School

Juniata High School

• Emily Houtz

East Juniata

• Rowan Smith. 

Each recipient will receive an award of $300 at the beginning of the second semester of his or her first year of post-secondary education.  Finalists were chosen based on a point system that included participation in at least two seasons of cross country and/or track; acceptance to a two year or more institute of higher education of a college, a university or a technical school;  participation in the Juniata Valley Striders Youth Program; and an essay addressing why participating in cross country or track was important to them, how it affected their running career and what their plans for running in the future are.
